Before we get to that, I would first like to give you all an update on what has been happening behind the scenes.

Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

It has been a while since I last uploaded a post.

During this time, I have received thousands of incredibly kind messages from people from around the world. I want to sincerely thank every single person who has taken the time to reach out, check on me, encourage me, and show me such extraordinary love and care.

Your love and support mean more to me than money could ever buy. It makes everything worthwhile and gives me the motivation to keep marching forward — like an army — no matter how difficult the journey becomes.

Over the past months, I have been working extremely hard to resolve some personal matters while, at the same time, working on three books simultaneously.

THREE BOOKS IN THE MAKING

I am incredibly excited about the forthcoming publications from Iqra Press:

These books represent years of research, experience, reflection and, most importantly, a deep commitment to building a better future through Islamic Social Entrepreneurship, Waqf and social impact.

BUILDING IQRA PRESS — MYSELF!

At the same time, I decided to take on another enormous challenge.

I have been designing and implementing IqraPress.com myself — including the website, e-commerce infrastructure, payment systems, publishers’ dashboard and eBook reader.

Yes — it is probably the equivalent of a 100-person team doing the work of one person! 😂 But hey… I love challenges. And we are almost there.

What makes Iqra Press particularly special is that it is not simply another publishing company. Iqra Press is being developed as a Waqf.

The vision is to create a publishing and knowledge ecosystem where books, knowledge, education and intellectual contributions can generate lasting social benefit.

ILMI IHSAN — MY PET PROJECT

And then there is Ilmi Ihsan. This is one of my pet projects — a platform dedicated to learning, education and the propagation of knowledge.

My goal is to build a platform that can eventually compete with major global learning platforms such as Coursera, while bringing a distinctive Islamic and values-based approach to education, knowledge and personal development.

There is a lot more to come on this.

MENTORING • COACHING • CONSULTING

I am also embarking on a new phase of my professional journey in mentoring, coaching and consulting. This is because I need to earn money to sustain myself.

Consulting is, of course, something I have already been doing for several years. However, I am now expanding this work with a stronger focus on providing policy, strategy and advisory solutions to governments, companies and organisations in two areas to which I have dedicated much of my life:

Halal and Islamic Social Entrepreneurship.

These are not simply areas of professional interest for me. They are areas to which I have dedicated my life. I deliberately left the lucrative software industry because I wanted to pursue something greater — something that I believe can contribute to the Ummah and ultimately be for the pleasure of Allah (SWT).

For me, success has never been solely about money. It is about purpose, impact and legacy.

AND YES… I’M RETURNING TO PODCASTING!

I will also be starting my podcasting journey again very soon. This is something I genuinely love doing — having conversations, asking difficult questions, exploring ideas and discussing anything and everything related to Halal, Trade, Islamic Social Entrepreneurship, Waqf, the Islamic economy and the future of our Ummah.

And naturally, my upcoming books will also become an important part of these conversations.

I already have several exciting podcasts and webinars lined up, and I will be announcing them shortly.

UPCOMING LIVE WEBINAR

I would also like to invite you to an upcoming LIVE WEBINAR, where I will be interviewed about my forthcoming book and my work in Islamic Social Entrepreneurship.

Please see the poster accompanying this announcement and contact the organisers directly for registration and further information.

As an author — and as the founder of Iqra Press — I am very much looking forward to discussing the ideas behind the book and why I believe Islamic Social Entrepreneurship can play such an important role in building a better world.

More webinars and interviews are already in the pipeline.

IMPORTANT: RESTRUCTURING OF THE GLOBAL HALAL SHURA HUB WhatsApp Group

Before I end this post, I also want to make an important announcement.

First and foremost, I want to express my sincere gratitude to those who have been taking care of the various groups within the Global Halal Shura Hub and contributing valuable, knowledgeable and meaningful posts. Your efforts are deeply appreciated, and I thank you for helping to keep these communities active and useful.

Unfortunately, some individuals have been using these platforms for personal gain, including scammers and opportunists who seek to take advantage of members and the credibility of the Global Halal Shura Hub.

For this reason, there will be major restructuring within the Global Halal Shura Hub in the coming period.

I have already removed several groups that were no longer functional and/or were no longer operating in accordance with the principles and standards upon which the Global Halal Shura Hub was established. One of the principal reasons I founded the Global Halal Shura Hub was because I wanted to contribute towards building a proper, transparent, ethical and functional global Halal ecosystem.

Additionally, I have become increasingly concerned about the way parts of the Halal sector are operating. There is too much fragmentation, too little accountability and, in some cases, serious concerns about individuals attempting to use Halal platforms for purposes that are inconsistent with the values and principles we are trying to establish.

I will not compromise on integrity. I will not compromise on transparency.

And I will not compromise on ethical standards.

For clarity, groups previously established by Aashif Jahan and Zain Malik have been removed from the Global Halal Shura Hub structure.

Please be aware that you can check the groups associated with the official Global Halal Shura Hub main group. If a group is not connected to the official Global Halal Shura Hub structure, it should not be regarded as an official Global Halal Shura Hub group.

If you are ever unsure about whether a group, page, organisation or individual is officially representing the Global Halal Shura Hub, please contact me directly and I will clarify.

I will never tolerate unethical conduct within an organisation that I founded. I will never compromise the standards upon which the Global Halal Shura Hub was built.

And I will continue to protect the integrity, credibility and vision of this platform.

THE JOURNEY CONTINUES

There is an enormous amount happening behind the scenes.

Three books.

A publishing company.

A Waqf.

A learning platform.

Consulting.

Mentoring.

Coaching.

Policy development.

Podcasting.

Webinars.

Research.

Halal.

Trade.

Islamic Social Entrepreneurship.

Waqf.

And, ultimately, a vision for a better and more ethical global Islamic ecosystem.

It is a huge undertaking. But I have never been afraid of huge undertakings.

The journey continues. And, Insha’Allah, this is only the beginning.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart once again to everyone who has supported me, encouraged me, prayed for me, checked on me and continued to believe in what I am trying to accomplish.

May Allah (SWT) accept our efforts, give us strength and sincerity, and allow our work to become a source of lasting benefit for humanity.

Jazakum Allahu Khairan.

Yours Sister,
Dr. Thamina (Samina) Anwar
